It’s safe to say that MBA applicants have different priorities. Some might value a school’s location the most, others might pay more attention to research and hands-on learning opportunities.
Admissions staff at William & Mary Raymond A Mason School of Business tell us what students should prioritize when choosing MBA programs.
Josh Lusting, Associate Director of MBA Admissions, advises candidates to look at themselves first and figure out what they are passionate about, as their interests can shape their future career.
Secondly, he advises applicants visit as many schools as possible to get a feel of the different environments and student communities.
He says, “It’s really important to have that great fit.”
Amanda Barth, Director of Admissions, emphasizes the importance of networking and mentorship. She says that one of the strengths of Mason’s MBA program is their Executive Partner Network, made up of 140 retired and semi-retired senior executives who serve as coaches and mentors to MBA candidates.
